Gonzalez Public Affairs & Consulting is a premier lobby/consulting firm based in Austin, Texas. Daniel Gonzalez, the firm’s CEO and President founded the firm in 2019. After nearly twenty years with the Texas Association of REALTORS as their chief lobbyist and numerous legislative and political victories, Daniel made the decision to start his own lobby and consulting firm.

About Daniel Gonzalez

Daniel Gonzalez is President and CEO of Gonzalez Public Affairs & Consulting (GPAC). He formed his firm in 2019 after 19 illustrious years with the Texas Association of REALTORS (TAR). Daniel began his career with TAR in 2000 and was eventually promoted to the position of Chief Lobbyist. He is the longest-serving and most successful person to hold this position within the REALTOR organization.

In addition, since 2005, Daniel has consistently been rated as a Top 5 lobbyist for Private Associations by Capitol Inside’s “Texas Lobby Power Rankings.” In this position, he worked very closely with national and state lawmakers, Texas REALTORS®, and consumers to influence public policy for the betterment of private property ownership; including lower taxes, and a more stable regulatory environment.

Daniel was instrumental in many legislative victories realized by TAR at the state and national levels since the 77th legislative session. A few of these legislative victories include:

- comprehensive property tax reform;

- tort reform; and

- constitutionally prohibited real estate transfer fees in Texas.

Prior to his tenure at TAR, Daniel worked in the Texas House of Representatives for a Dallas area legislator as Legislative Director and Committee Clerk. Daniel holds a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from St. Edward’s University and a Political Science degree from Southwest Texas State University.

Daniel and his beautiful wife Natalie have been married for 10 years and have two children.
